How often should I have my HVAC- air conditioner and furnace- serviced?

C.M. Mose recommends a regularly scheduled maintenance program that includes a professional service of the unit every six months.

What do I do if my thermostat is blank?

Some thermostats take Battery’s, change them. If your thermostat does not take battery’s call for service.

How often should I change my air filter?

At C.M. Mose & Son we recommend that you change the filter in your system every 30 days and have a professional service the unit every six months.

Why should I have my HVAC unit professionally serviced twice per year?

Most manufacturer warranties require the unit to be serviced to maintain their warranty. Maintenance also helps the unit run more efficiently. With regular maintenance, there are fewer breakdowns, and it can help avoid costly repairs.

Does C.M. Mose & Son offer a Maintenance Agreement?

Yes, We offer a Maintenance Agreement. We service your equipment every six months. Plus, Service Agreement customers enjoy a 15% discount on parts.

What should I expect when maintenance is performed on my HVAC equipment?

You should expect nothing less than a clean and professional technician who will test and record the readings and information for your system . They should thoroughly clean and service the equipment; taking care of your home and equipment like it was their own.

How do I know when I need a new HVAC system or equipment?

There are many factors involved in deciding to replace your equipment. Some of those factors are the cost of repair vs. replacement, comfort, efficiency, the age of current HVAC, and availability of parts for it, are all factors that should be considered when replacing equipment.

My air conditioner seems like it runs all the time, why is that?

There are many issues that can cause this type of problem. Cleaning and servicing the system is a good place to start. A well-maintained system can remove more heat and humidity than an HVAC unit that has not been regularly cared for.

What is this news I keep hearing about R-22 refrigerant?

The EPA has mandated to slow and eventually stop the production of R-22 refrigerant. As production slows, the cost of refrigerant will increase, and the parts for R-22 systems will become harder to get. The industry is moving to R-410A, a more earth-friendly refrigerant.

What type of unit/ system can help with hot and cold spots in my home?

There are several different options to help you solve these types of problems. We recommend calling the C.M Mose & Son office to have one of our consultants assist you with navigating the options.

Do you have thermostats that I can control with my smartphone?

Yes, C.M. Mose & Son offers Lennox and their Premier status thermostats that can be controlled by your smartphone with state of the art technology from Nexia.

I have a sunroom that is not heated or cooled do you have options for this?

If you have a sunroom, bonus rooms over the garage, or a back room in your home or office without vents; at C.M. Mose we have several options including mini-split or ductless systems that are perfect for these types of situations.

Do you offer rebates on new HVAC equipment?

Yes, there are varying rebates available from Lennox and their Premier status to dealers, depending on the season, equipment purchased and current promotions. Please contact the CM Mose office and have one of our comfort consultants review current promotions and rebates with you!
